Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

Pretty Lace Flower

I made a new pretty! :)

It was really easy to make. You just need: lace, felt, a button, a hot glue gun, and a bobby pin.

I cut the felt into circles and started gluing the lace to the felt in a circle.

When I finished it looked like this.

I glued a button to the center and then glued the bobby pin to the other side. I made my precious, but bashful, sister model the end product.

I love it! It's cute and pretty and I'm going to wear it every day!! The End.

New Projects

I went outside to scrape the ice off of my car and...that's just NOT going to happen. I decided blogging about my new projects is a much better use of my time. I get bored with days off so I decided to do some reorganizing. I reorganized our linen closet and china cabinet and found TONS of fun fabric. That made me want to be artsy.

I am basically in love with fabric flowers. They are so addicting to make and they are so fun. So, I made a bracelet:

I helped my sister make a headband and my other sister made a pair of lace earrings.

And, here are my artsy pictures that I'm taking of my next project. I can't finish it until I get some pearls. It's going to be a neclace when I get it done. But, I am practicing my photography skills. My awesome and sweet boyfriend, whom I love very much, bought me a camera for Christmas because he wanted to see better pictures on my blog. So...I'm trying for him.

Two Days of Snow and What Am I Doing?

Playing Tetris on the Wii!

It's so addicting. I need to go do something productive so I am writing this blog post so I will be embarrassed and go clean my room. I hope it works.

Jewelry Boxes

Here's my Christmas Break projects.

This is what it looked like before I decided to get crafty:

I decided to paint the jewelry box gray (though I think it looks pretty blue).

Then I lined the inside with a black and white polka dot fabric and a yellow and white striped fabric.

Then I put a black and white patterned paper on the sides and on the drawers. The finished product looks like this.

I decided not to do anything with the mirrors on the front. I kind of like them. I may try to trace the flowers with a darker paint, but for now, I think they are fine.

I also decided to play with my sisters jewelry box. She's 12 and never used it before because she thought it was too ugly and childish. Here's what it looked like before:

She painted it pink and yellow and we put yellow striped fabric on the insides. Then we took an old gift bag and put the patterned paper on the top of the jewelry box. The polka dot paper also came from the gift bag and we put heart shaped pieces on the handles. It turned out pretty cute.

Now I need a new project because I'm starting to get bored. :)

Jewelry Box

I bought this cool jewelry box yesterday when I was thrift store shopping. It's really cool and I want to use it but it needs a little touching up.

I need some inspiration! Any ideas?

My Snow Day

So, I decided I should go ahead and finish all my art projects I've been working on for my new room. Yes, the one that has no walls or floors right now. At least it has pretty things to hang on the walls that will soon be put up. :)

Here are the 3D Flower Pictures I made:

These are the two biggest frames:

These are the medium sized frames:

And these two are in the smallest frames:

Here's what they will look like when I hang them up on my non-existent walls:

Then I finished my bulletin board. I am going to put a black frame around the whole thing, I just have to spray paint the frame first. :)

The front:

The back:

I need to get a camera that is not my phone so I can actually put up decent pictures. Anyway, that's what I did today!

Headboard

I really love this headboard idea. There are step-by-step directions on this website. The question is, "Am I ambitious enough to do it?"
